Skeppargatan 4 lies at a quiet cul-de-sac, 30 yards from the oceanside. It takes 10 minutes to walk to Stockholms main square, Stureplan, and 15 minutes to walk to Djurgarden (very big Royal Park on an island), and with very good public transport options (bus, tram, underground, and ferries). The central location means that food deliveries are fast and varied and there is access to many amenities including the famous Östermalm Food Halls. The original (1892) double doors enter into a light, checkered hallway with coats hooks and a shoe rack and which acts as the entry to all rooms and facilities. There is a security gate. The drawing room has a big, functioning fire place, large bookshelf, a sofa and a cushioned window niche where you can look out over the bay and the boat life, all the way to the Royal Castle. The sofa doubles as an optional bed for two guests. There is a large Smart TV and surround-sound speakers. The bedroom faces a very quiet courtyard, with a large double bed (which can also be two twin beds), a writing desk in front of the deep window sill, book shelves. The bathroom is cheerful and large with a shower and heated towel rack. The kitchenette is practical for urban living, with most appliances. The apartment feels very roomy and with lots of light due to large windows and a ceiling height of 5 meters. Around the corner lies Hotel Diplomat (2nd best in Stockholm), and Diplomat Deli. The rent is all inclusive. Our home is a split-level apartment and we no longer use the bottom floor as the children have flown the coop. We live in the apartment above.
